The Mizuno Crush is back on May 15th right here at Headbanger Sports and this time it has the slowpitch world paying attention.
Built as the 2026 Mizuno Crush Andy Purcell Signature USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat, this model brings together one of the most respected names in the game, a proven 13" barrel profile, and Mizuno’s high-performance slowpitch technology in a bat designed to do exactly what the name says: crush softballs.
For years, Mizuno has carried a reputation for craftsmanship, feel, and premium performance across multiple sports. Now, with the 2026 Mizuno Crush, Mizuno is making a serious statement in slowpitch softball. This is not just a bat with a cool graphic and a familiar name on it. This is a player-driven, performance-focused USSSA slowpitch bat built for hitters who want a smooth swing, a big barrel, and real ball flight.
And yes, it is available at Headbanger Sports again on May 15th, 2026.
Any time Mizuno steps back into the slowpitch space with a bat carrying the Crush name, people are going to talk. Add Andy Purcell to the barrel, and now you have a launch that instantly grabs attention.
The 2026 Mizuno Crush Andy Purcell Signature model is built around a setup that a lot of serious USSSA players love: a 13" barrel with a ½ oz end load. That gives hitters the plate coverage and forgiveness of a longer barrel while still adding enough barrel weight to help drive through the ball.
It is not an overly aggressive sledgehammer-style end load. It is more of a controlled power setup. You get that extra finish through contact without feeling like the bat is dragging through the zone. For a lot of players, that is the sweet spot.
The 2026 Mizuno Crush is designed for hitters who want power without giving up control.
The 13" barrel gives you a larger hitting surface, which is huge in USSSA slowpitch where consistency matters. Whether you are trying to shoot the middle, work backside, or turn on something and launch it, that extra barrel length gives you more room to work with and more confidence in the box.
The ½ oz end load adds just enough mass toward the end of the barrel to help generate distance, especially for players who like to feel the bat head finish through the ball. It gives the Crush that “heavy enough to hit bombs, smooth enough to control” type of feel.
That is what makes this model so interesting. It is built for power hitters, but it should not scare away players who want a bat they can still handle in different counts and situations.
One of the biggest technology stories on this bat is Mizuno’s Black Onyx Carbon.
This material is designed to give the Crush an elite blend of feel, sound, performance, and durability. For players, that matters because a great slowpitch bat has to do more than test well. It has to feel right in the hands, sound right on contact, and hold performance through real tournament use.
The Black Onyx Carbon construction helps give this bat a shorter break-in period while still focusing on long-term durability. That is a major piece of the puzzle for players who want a bat that performs quickly without feeling like it falls off too fast.
The 2026 Mizuno Crush features a Triple Wall Barrel, built to deliver higher peak performance with a larger sweet spot.
That is exactly what most USSSA hitters are looking for: forgiveness and exit speed. Nobody barrels every pitch perfectly, especially in tournament play when conditions change, pitchers are working edges, and you are trying to adjust from at-bat to at-bat.
A larger sweet spot helps the bat stay dangerous even when you miss the absolute center of the barrel. The Triple Wall Barrel design gives the Crush that responsive feel players want while helping create the kind of pop that gets attention quickly.
Mizuno also built the Crush with Cylinder Seaming, which is designed to help performance stay consistent across the barrel.
For slowpitch players, consistency is everything. You want the bat to perform predictably. You want the barrel to stay reliable. You want the same strong response whether you are taking BP swings, playing league night, or stepping into a bracket game on Sunday.
Cylinder Seaming helps support that goal by reinforcing performance and durability across the hitting surface.
The Dual Frequency Damper is another key feature that helps separate the Crush from a basic composite bat.
This technology is designed to reduce vibration and limit unwanted flex, giving hitters a stronger, cleaner feel through contact. That can make a big difference for players who are picky about feedback. Some bats feel soft. Some feel disconnected. Some feel like they lose energy when you really swing hard.
The Crush is designed to feel firm, controlled, and powerful through the ball.
The Andy Purcell signature on this bat carries weight.
Purcell is one of the most respected names in slowpitch softball, and when a bat is tied to a player of that caliber, expectations are high. Players want something that feels serious. They want a bat that looks good, performs well, and matches the reputation behind the name.
The 2026 Mizuno Crush does exactly that.
This is a bat built around a true player-style profile: long barrel, slight end load, strong composite construction, and a performance package made for competitive USSSA play. It fits the type of hitter who wants to control the barrel but still have enough mass to do real damage.
The Mizuno Crush has already created buzz across the slowpitch community, especially with players and personalities like Terry Lambright helping bring attention to the launch.
That matters because slowpitch players do not just buy bats based on spec sheets. They want to see swings. They want to hear feedback. They want to know if people around the game are actually excited about the product.
The early conversation around the Crush has been exactly what you want from a major slowpitch launch: anticipation, curiosity, and a lot of players wanting to know when they can get one in their hands.
The 2026 Mizuno Crush Andy Purcell Signature is a strong fit for USSSA players who want:
This is not just a bat for one type of swing. If you like a longer barrel, a slight end load, and a smooth but powerful feel, the Crush deserves a serious look.
The 2026 Mizuno Crush Andy Purcell Signature Slowpitch Bat is approved for USSSA, NSA, and ISA play.
As always, players should double-check their specific league or tournament rules before swinging any bat, but this model is built for the USSSA-style player looking for serious performance in today’s game.
The 2026 Mizuno Crush is more than a comeback bat. It feels like a statement.
With the Andy Purcell Player Series design, a 13" barrel, ½ oz end load, Black Onyx Carbon construction, Triple Wall Barrel technology, and a clean performance-first build, this bat gives slowpitch players a real reason to pay attention to Mizuno again.
At Headbanger Sports, we are always looking for bats that bring something different to the table. The Mizuno Crush does that. It has the name, the build, the tech, and the early buzz to become one of the most talked-about USSSA slowpitch bats of 2026.
If you are looking for a smooth-swinging end-loaded slowpitch bat with a huge barrel and real power potential, the 2026 Mizuno Crush Andy Purcell Signature USSSA Slowpitch Bat needs to be on your radar.

Starting out is a company that alot have heard from but maybe have yet to try, Axe bats. Axe has become a leading bat company with unique designs and builds that differentiate them from the rest, particularly noted is the handle design. As we discussed in a past blog, “Axe Bats, Are They a Potential Game Changer?”, the handle has been specifically designed to better your swing speed, prevents wrist breaking, and promotes healthy hitting habits. Recently Axe released a flared knob version of the Avenge Pro. The flared knob adds a more rounded knob feel as well as a comfortable taper for slowpitch players. One of our own Headbanger Sports players has extensively tested this particular bat and without any breaking in, right out of the wrapper the bat tested a compression of 270 psi. After 100 swings, re-tested at 250 psi. He proceeded to use the bat for a few months and after approximately 500 swings, he re-tested and the bat has settled at 248 psi to which it has yet to move from. That being said, if you can adjust to the handle design, this could be one of the hottest bats in your arsenal.
The 2023 Axe Avenge Pro Flared Knob: $319.99

Axe has listened! What they have come out with for their new Slowpitch Softball Bats is something truly revolutionary! Prior to the all new 2023 Axe Avenge Pro Flared Slowpitch Bat, most slowpitch players weren’t very fond of the Axe handle as a common style of slowpitch grip is dropping the pinky below the knob or overlapping hands. Axe came up with a great solution to this for their bats and redesigned the knob completely! The new flared knob has a tapered handle, a more rounded knob and a less dramatic “Axe handle” style. These changes while still providing all of the safety and performance benefits the original Axe handle provides gives the player a unique experience that is a must try!
Axe’s all-new Flared Knob is the perfect transition from a rounded knob to an Axe for all Slowpitch players. You get just the right amount of Axe advantage, with the familiar feels of a rounded knob.
The Flared taper design feels almost natural, promotes all styles of grip, and frees your swing for max speed, whip, and ultimate performance. There is no transition period between round knob to Axe handles. No restrictions. Just Grip it and go. Paired with the hottest, lowest compression USSSA 240 barrel and you have one of THE best bats in Slowpitch. Period.

Here at Headbanger Sports we understand that making the switch to an Axe bat can feel a little … uncomfortable, we hear it alot. It’s not the same as a traditional bat. But one thing to remember, MLB superstars are swinging the Axe. Mookie Betts, George Springer and Kris Bryant are just a select few who have all switched over to Axe bats and never regretted the change. Besides the fact more and more MLB players are turning towards swinging Axe, the Axe handle (yes, including the new flared knob!) promotes safety, faster swing speeds and more control. If you were hesitant before, fear no more as the new Flared knob is a perfect transition. There's no need for a transition period. No adjusting your grip. No restrictions. Just pick up the bat, grip it and go. This will be one of the greatest bats you have ever swung, period.
]]>

Because of the handle and how it's basically a ‘One-sided’ grip, such as the 2023 Avenge Pro Dual Stamp, 2023 Avenge Pro Endload and 2023 Avenge Pro Balanced, the barrel is specifically designed to be hit on only one side. As odd as that may be, the Axe Bats have engineered a way this all works together. Not only does it work, it produces insane pop and is one of the most durable barrels to date. We’ve seen Axe Bats such as the Avenge Pro still pass compression testing after +1000 swings with no seaming or ‘shark toothing’. And after an average of 100 cuts, we’ve seen minimal to no compression drop.

Lets go ahead and introduce the 2023 Axe Slowpitch Softball Bats lineup!
2023 Axe Slowpitch Softball bats are here! These 3 slowpitch softball bats are firecracker HOT! Flexing some all new Axe technology including a redesigned Vibration Canceling System (VCS), all new Charged Carbon Max barrel construction producing even more pop, and the 2nd Gen. Tri-Flex Blastwall energy dispersion barrel technology giving your bat maximum durability.
2023 Axe Avenge Pro Dual Stamp Slowpitch Softball Bat:

Product Features:
These are our current top-selling Miken slowpitch bats, period. Some featured are new for this year but a few from 2021 were such heavy hitters (no pun intended) that they’re still among our best-selling Miken slowpitch softball bats.
2022 Miken Freak KP 23 12” USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat
New for 2022 is the Miken Freak KP 12” USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat and it’s the top-selling Miken slowpitch bat in our entire catalog.
Like other Miken products, it’s been developed and produced here in America by Miken’s game-leading engineers, and it’s weighed down with features you’ll love. Other customers certainly have.
Available in a range of weight drops (all of them are 34 inches and have a 2 ¼ inch barrel), this bat makes use of Miken’s C-4 carbon fiber that improves fiber angle layup for improved consistency and flex, for higher performance. It also features Miken’s F4P Handle Technology for improved handling and energy transfer, letting you wring every last drop of power from each swing.
If that’s not enough to sell you, the facade will do the trick. Electric yellow and white, this bat grabs attention like no other.
2022 Miken Freak 9R Josh Riley 12” Supermax USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat
This is Josh Riley’s 2022 Signature model, all new for 2022. Like the Miken Freak KP mentioned above, this one is also loaded (again, no pun intended) with features to take your game to the next level.
It features Miken’s proprietary C-4 Carbon Fiber and an E-Flex 360 barrel for greater durability and barrel life, optimized for more consistency and performance. It also features F4P technology, improving the handle-barrel connection to improve flex and energy transfer.
It also features Miken’s A1 knob, a smaller design that improves comfort without giving up an inch of ground on the grip.
Power hitters take note: this bat features a full ounce of end load, so you can drive serious power through every swing.

2021 Miken Benefit The Badge 12” USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat
Several of our top-selling Miken slowpitch bats are from 2021 and the Benefit The Badge is one of them.
Like the other Miken bats listed above, this one makes use of Miken’s proprietary C-4 Carbon Fiber and features F4P Handle Technology. It’s approved for play in USSSA, NSA, and ISA tournaments, is approved for the new 240 USSSA NTS standards and comes with a 12-month manufacturer warranty, but those are not the features we think make this such a bestseller.
We believe - and you probably will agree - that this is a top-performer because it’s a joint effort between Miken Sports and the Heroes Mission. It’s a unique project that’s intended to raise local and national awareness and support for law enforcement across the United States, honoring those who serve and those who have fallen in the line of duty.
2021 Miken LE Psycho Balanced 14” USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat
Contact hitters, this is your bat. It’s a balanced slowpitch bat that’s ironically “weighed down” with features that put it in a class of its own - leaving little wonder that it’s a bestseller, even though it’s from last season.
It features Miken’s C-4 carbon fiber, an E-Flex 360 barrel, and F4P Handle Technology, as well as Triple Matrix Core + Technology. This latter upgrade increases composite volume and eliminates seams to boost durability: what you get is a more durable composite bat with longer life.
It’s approved for USSSA (including new 240 NTS standards), NSA, and ISA leagues and tournaments.
2021 Miken Rev-Ex Maxload ASA and WSBC Slowpitch Softball Bat
Unique among the other Miken bestsellers featured here, this is a one-piece composite bat with some serious performance-boosting features.
It is made with Miken’s 100% premium aerospace-grade carbon fiber and features one-piece construction for a very stiff feel that offers great responsiveness, energy transfer, and feedback.
What we also love is that this Miken bat features 750X High-Pressure Infusion for guaranteed Hot Out of The Wrapper (HOtW) performance. This is it: a one-piece composite bat with less break-in required, so you can enjoy that pop the second you take your first swing.
Plus, it offers a half-ounce end-load for plenty of power and it’s sanctioned for ASA and WSBC leagues and tournaments.

]]>Speaking of which, here are some of the top picks from our collection of DeMarini slowpitch bats - and all new for 2022.
If you’re looking for a hot new DeMarini slowpitch softball bat for 2022, this just might be the model for you. It’s currently sold out - a testament to its popularity - but you can get in touch with us for updated information on expected shipments so you can be ready when it’s available again.
This 34-inch bat is available in five different weights, in 1-ounce increments from 24.5 to 28.5 ounces, so whether you enjoy greater balance or a bit of a heavier end load, this bat can serve up the goods you need to deliver.
Its 12 inch, 2 ¼ inch wide, end-loaded barrel boasts DeMarini’s Continuous Fiber Barrel Wall Construction, for unbelievable durability and hot performance out of the wrapper. Better compressibility and energy transfer are the signature traits of this bat, which will allow you to crush those daring over-the-plate pitches from your first time up at bat.
The durability and performance of the barrel are complemented perfectly by the bat’s ZnX Alloy handle, which optimizes not only durability but also stiffness. It’s unrivaled for feel and flexes less for better energy transfer - and you know what that means.
Bright not only in color but also in features that drive serious performance, the 2022 DeMarini Nautalai USA 13” USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat is another heavy hitter for this upcoming season. It’s available in 34 inches and ranges in weight from 25 to 28 ounces in 1-ounce increments. It has more of a mid-loaded swing weight than the end-load of the Jason Magnum Nautalai mentioned above.
Like the Nautalai mentioned above, it also features DeMarini’s Continuous Fiber Barrel Wall Construction for durability and a huge sweet spot that you won’t be able to believe. It is also paired to a ZnX Alloy Handle for unmatched sensitivity, handling, and stiffness.
Handling, by the way, is what makes this bat so great. Since it feels lighter in the hands (due to its lower end-load), it is much more responsive. Contact hitters will love the light, fluid feel of this bat, and will be able to send hits all over the field.
Also new for 2022, the DeMarini Chris Larsen Nautalai USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat features a 12 inch, 2 ¼ inch wide barrel; it’s 34 inches long and ranges in weight from 24 to 28 ounces, so the end load is similar to (but a little bit heavier than) the Nautalai mentioned above.
Like the last Nautalai mentioned, this bat also sports DeMarini’s famous Continuous Fiber Barrel Wall technology, made from a single sheet of carbon fiber. Strong and tough, it is every way the former bat’s equal - but it features something else that players will love.
One of the key, defining differentiators between this and the other Nautalai mentioned above is that this bat makes use of DeMarini’s 4.One Composite Handle. This handle is optimized for energy transfer, sending much more power into each and every swing.
This bat is hot - in color and features. Bright yellow and purple - a complementary combination that will burn itself into your memory - and weighed down with performance-boosting enhancements, this bat is another DeMarini home-run hit.
It has a large, 13.5-inch barrel (which is 2 ¼ inches wide), is 34 inches overall, and is available in weights from 25.5 to 28.5 ounces. Like many other DeMarini slowpitch softball bats, this bat features Continuous Fiber Wall Barrel Technology as well as a super-stiff ZnX Alloy handle for better sensitivity, control, and energy transfer.
The 2022 Demarini Dale Brungardt Nihilist is here at HB Sports and is available in weights ranging from 25.5 to 28.5 ounces in 1-ounce increments. Overall, it’s 34 inches in length and boasts a hefty 12 inch, 2 ¼ inch wide barrel. End-loaded for power hitters, this bat, like so many DeMarini models, features both Continuous Fiber Barrel Wall Technology as well as an ultra-stiff ZnX Alloy handle.

What is it about a stiff bat handle that matters so much, you say? Well, the stiffer the bat handle, the better energy is transferred to the barrel, enabling a greater trampoline effect through compression of the barrel wall, for higher batted-ball speeds. It’s all about performance, really.
Last but by no means least we also have the 2022 DeMarini Young Guns 13” USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat in our lineup of bats that are new for 2022 and ready to rock - and there’s a special reason we want to bring it to your attention.
It’s not the fact that this DeMarini slowpitch softball bat, like many others, features DeMarini’s proven Continuous Fiber Barrel Wall Technology or a ZnX Alloy Handle. It’s not even the huge 13” barrel with a remarkably large and forgiving sweet spot.
It’s the fact that only 400 of these are available (420 were produced but 20 are reserved for Phil Matte and JoeJoe Bennett), it’s an HB Sports exclusive offering, and they’re going fast.
It has a solid 5-star review from our fans who have testified to its Hot-Out-of-the-Wrapper performance. Check it out in our collection of DeMarini slowpitch softball bats to see for yourself.
If you’d like to learn more about the fine features of any of these DeMarini slowpitch bats, you have any questions or you’d like specific recommendations, get in touch with us directly at 1-888-540-BATS and we’d be happy to help.
]]>No one becomes an elite star overnight, you develop those skills over time, through positive reinforcement based on the results you get with every swing. High-quality slow pitch softball bats are necessary if you want to feel sure in your swing every time, so you can develop the skills necessary to excel.
It might be a stretch to say that your bat is “everything” in the game of softball because you also have to factor in ball awareness, the quality of your gloves, the weather on any given day, and so on. However, without a well-made bat in your hands, you can’t expect the best results. You may not even get mediocre results, to be truthful. This is because the design of bats has been streamlined and perfected to a great degree over time. A high-quality softball bat is literally designed for maximum performance, which is something we’ll be taking a look at below.
If you want to maximize your confidence when you step up to the plate, it’s worth investing in the right quality equipment and how it's this quality that helps to improve your ability to perform.
The whole point of a well-made piece of sporting equipment is to absolutely maximize every bit of performance possible. The material that is used, the weight, the thickness of the barrel, the ratio of weight between the barrel, and handle. All of these factors are taken into consideration so as to improve play on the ball.
When the bat makes contact with a softball, everything falls into the hands of physics. While this might not necessarily play into your favor every time, it is something that brands look at when perfecting their bats. How a ball behaves when a bat makes contact with it is something that is thoroughly tested. It is this process of maximizing the quality of a bat that makes it such an important confidence booster when it comes time to actually bat in a real game.
When you are trying to crush a ball, you need to feel absolutely confident in your swing. Even if you were a professional player with years of experience under your belt, how confident would you be if you had to step up to the plate with some random dusty old off-brand bat that was just pulled out of someone’s attic, chances are they would be second-guessing themselves with every swing.
One of the reasons why players are able to make such powerful, confident plays on the ball is because they trust in their bats. Without that trust and confidence that is built over time, it’s hard to say how someone’s performance would suffer. Every time you take a swing, you want to know how your bat will feel, especially when and if it makes contact with the ball. The bat also needs to be constructed to not only withstand such impacts time and again but to remain effective over time as well.
For this level of quality in your slow pitch softball bats, you need brands that you can trust. The big names in the game like DeMarini, Easton, and Louisville, reputations built off of decades of providing this kind of confidence for players all over the world. It’s not enough to walk onto the field with just any bat. You want a piece of equipment in your hands that you know is going to help you perform at the peak of your game every time.
If this is the kind of equipment you’re looking for, you can easily find it right here at HB Sports. We make it our business to stock only the highest quality slow pitch softball bats and other equipment that will help instill that confidence in you with every swing.
Take a look at our selection of softball bats here in our online store and you will see our dedication to providing only top quality. We understand that the key to unlocking player potential is that feeling of strength and confidence when you are eyeing down the pitcher. As a batter, you have to develop those keen senses and nerves of steel, and that doesn’t come from swinging cheap equipment around.
For all of your slow pitch softball needs, you can trust us to deliver every time. Whether you need a professional-grade softball bat, gloves, helmets, or other pieces of high-quality equipment, we have it all right here.

We’ve said this before and we’ll say it again: no two bats are created equal. It’s apparent enough through the marketing efforts and the design of so many of the slowpitch softball bats on our website that they look different enough, but there are many other differences engineering into them than what meets the eye.
That is to say, the differences between any given two bats will be far from cosmetic. There will be cosmetic differences, but there will be different, unique technology built into the bats you’re looking at. These features will engender different performance into any bat you see, and to top that off, all players have their own unique needs in performance.
To illustrate some of the differences that commonly arise between different models of softball bats, we’re going to take a close look at two of the models that you will see on our website. These two are the 2020 DeMarini Steel Single Wall Slowpitch Softball Bat and the 2020 DeMarini RD Balanced Senior Slowpitch Softball Bat. As you’re about to see, these bats are built to cater to the tastes of players with very different strengths and preferences.
2020 DeMarini Steel Single Wall Slowpitch Softball Bat
The 2020 DeMarini Steel Single Wall Slowpitch Softball Bat is not only unique because it is made from steel; this is a bat that heavy-hitting players are going to love. We’ll get into that in a bit, however.
Unlike most bats, even alloy bats, this softball bat is made from carburized drawn seamless steel and has single wall construction through the barrel. That makes this bat compatible for play in leagues where double-wall construction is forbidden.
Something else about this bat that is interesting is the fact that it is made from steel instead of aluminum. Many alloy bats are made from aluminum because they are tough and can be made with a compressible double wall. Aluminum may be tough, but steel is tougher, and this is a nearly invincible bat. It doesn’t end with toughness, though.
Steel is also heavier than aluminum, which means that this bat can be wielded with an insane amount of power. It brings one of the heaviest end loads in our collection to the table, with a weight drop of -4. It is a heavy, hard-hitting bat, and though it might not be as responsive as some lighter composite models, hard hitters can really drive home with this thing.
However, not all players prefer an end-load, and a team requires all of its components to function fluidly. Whereas a heavy hitter might allow all of the bases to get home, those players would need to get on base anyway. That’s where a bat like the following comes into the picture.
2020 DeMarini RD Balanced Senior Slowpitch Softball Bat
Whereas the steel bat above would appeal to players who desired a heavy-hitting bat, this one from our collection is significantly better balanced and therefore much more responsive. It also feels a lot lighter over the plate. Despite the fact that these two bats weigh the same, you can feel the difference when handling them.
That is due to the balancing of the bat, but this one is made from Continuous Fiber Barrel Wall Technology that makes the bat tougher than ever before. It also provides for a great amount of feedback to get through the handle and into the hands of the player. You can feel just where this bat is going to be, and where it will make contact, every time. And, just in case you can’t, the bat will tell you where you did.
Light and remarkably tough, this is a bat that precision hitters will just use up and want more of. It will take a little bit of time to break in and like all bats requires appreciable practice to attain proficiency, but if you are a player that needs a light swinging, heavily responsive bat, this may serve you well.
Contrast this to the bat above that will afford a lot of power but not the same degree of feedback through the swing and into contact. Weight lifters will love the bat about, and surgeons will prefer this one.
These two slowpitch softball bats are intended only to illustrate some of the differences that exist between slowpitch bats that cannot be seen without digging a little bit. There are many other bats on our website, some of which are end loaded and others of which are balanced, and to find the bat that is right for you you’ll want to check our collection.
In the event that you can’t key in on the bat that’s right for you from among our slowpitch bats, you can always lean on the experience of our staff. Get in touch with us at 1-888-540-BATS and we would be more than happy to walk you through some of the fine points of the bats in our collection. Whether you want a Louisville Slugger or a Miken Freak, a balanced or a loaded USSSA slow pitch softball bat, there’s something here for you!
]]>Note one thing - not every DeMarini bat includes all of this technology, as some of these features are opposed to the others in this list and are designed to deliver different performance, as based on the needs of an individual player. Take a look through our catalog to learn more.
DoublewallTM Gapped Barrel Technology
Among DeMarini’s most significant contributions to softball bats is in their DoublewallTM Gapped Barrel Technology that can vastly improve the performance of the bats that contain these features.
Many other bats on the market have one wall of construction in the barrel, but bats with DoublewallTM technology have two walls. This allows for greater compression of the barrel on contact with a bat, and, subsequently, higher speeds.A bat with a double walled construction can allow the same hitter not only to deliver faster speeds off the bat, but to achieve greater distances as well. This is the type of technology that power hitters can really get behind.
3Fusion Technology
DeMarini’s 3Fusion technology gives the bat manufacturer much greater control over the weight distribution of a bat. For players who need to play extremely close attention to weight drop ratings in order to ensure that their bats are compliant, as little as a half of an ounce can make a huge difference. By breaking the bat components into several pieces, it makes it much easier for them to distribute the weight, control handling and weight drop, and more.
Continuous Fiber Composite Technology
Bats manufactured with continuous fiber composite technology are made with strands of fiber that run, longitudinally, for the entire length of the bat. This accomplishes two goals. It gives the bat greater structural integrity - that is, it makes the bat stronger. In addition, it also provides for greater flex through the swing. A stronger and more flexible bat with only a minimal structural change required of the manufacturer? That sounds like a thing that only the visionaries at DeMarini could deliver.
Paradox Composite Design
Bats made with paradox composite design are made with composite materials of different stiffness that gives them a combination of differing strengths. For example, bats made with stiffer composite material in the handle but more flexible material in the barrel can exhibit the trampoline upon contact with the bat. This can make it much easier for players to transfer energy through the swing with a smaller effort than other bats would require.
Seismic Endcap Technology
DeMarini’s Seismic Endcap is built from the stiffest materials that they could conjure up. The result is an endcap that directs and transfers energy beautifully. When you pair a bat with an endcap like this with a large weight drop and a large sweet spot, the result is killer performance when dropped in the right hands. When you’re fine tuning your swing and your performance, features like this can make a noticeable difference.
ZnX Alloy Handles
If you like an insanely responsive bat that feels not only light in the hands but very stiff, then you might want to take a look at some DeMarini bats with ZnX Alloy handles. Their ZnX alloy is made with zinc and aluminum and then heat treated to deliver unbelievable stiffness and strength to the handle as a result.
This is the type of technology that players who need a really stiff and responsive bat will love. Check out some of our DeMarini bats; many of their slowpitch models feature this technology.
These are only a few of the features that you will find in some of our DeMarini softball bats, but to learn more about the proprietary technology that a given model contains, you’ll want to take some time to get more familiar with their offerings. Take a look at our pages of DeMarini softball bats, divided into DeMarini fastpitch softball bats and DeMarini slowpitch softball bats, in order to find what you’re looking for.
We realize that a lot of these proprietary terms can be difficult to understand on paper, so we’d like to welcome you to reach out to our customer service team to learn more about each of them. We have many years of experience and we’d love to shed some light on some of the finer points of performance that some of these amazing bats can offer. Reach out to us any time at 1-888-540-BATS and we’d be glad to offer our insight.
]]>Slow pitch softball is for people of all ages. There are various leagues at many different ages and levels of ability and you can showcase your talent and ability when you have a bat that allows for quality contact and the ability to put some power behind the swing.
Choosing the right bat is one of the important decisions you will make off the field. You want to come to the field with the right bat so that you can actually start to take some steps to improve your abilities. How can you be sure you are getting the right bat for you? You need to go where you can find the best slow pitch softball bats and find a model and size that is perfect for you. Today, we will look at some of the various brands you can choose from and what can determine the right bat for you.
The first step to choosing the right bat for you is to know what size you need. This is determined in the length and weight of the bat. The length of the bat is measured in inches and can range depending on the size of the player. The best way to determine the right length of bat is to allow the player to hold the bat and take a few swings. A bat that is the right length should allow for a smooth swing that is balanced the entire way through.
Next, you have to factor in the weight of the bat. Obviously, stronger players will be capable of using heavier bats. The right weight of the bat will correspond to the length of the bat so that balance always remains a priority. A bat that is too light for a player will allow for a swing that is more free, meaning that it can be a little wild and off-balance. A bat that is too heavy for a player will limit their abilities. They will look like they have little control of the bat and can’t complete a swing properly to make solid contact and drive the ball.
For developing players who are still growing and molding their skills, finding a bat that fits these needs may only last for so long while the player sees increases in height and muscle. You may have to go through a few different bats over the years as players learn to adjust to the new length and weight of a bat and require something more to match their abilities.
When it comes to slow pitch softball bats, there are certain brands that players have relied on over the years. Brands like Louisville Slugger, DeMarini, Miken and Worth are among the most popular in the game and are used commonly on softball fields across the country. Each brand uses technology to make the most effective bats that will produce the results the player desires. It takes some time and practice to get the feel for a new bat and start to form a consistent swing pattern, but once you have your swing down, it becomes second nature to you and the bat is just an extension of your arms.
Once you know what goes into selecting a bat and the best brands on the market, you need to find a place to go to get the right one for you. The answer is simple: go to HB Sports. At HB Sports, you will find three very important qualities to any place that sells baseball and softball equipment. You get selection, a variety of options that can fit any player.
